For a regular drink I go for Swan Draught (it is a WA brew too so there is a bit of state pride in that). It has slightly more of a flavour than VB etc.

All of those low carb ones I have tried taste on nothing. TED is maybe the best.

I treat myself to a case of Becks now and then but it is $45-$50. The missus also brought me a case of Kilkenny home (free) which is saved as a treat.

The cleanskin wines are just about drinkable but I treat myself to a Palandri Merlot etc now and again.

Sam also brings home free or wholesale-price Jonnie Walker but I prefer the bourbons - Slate or Jim Beam are faves.

I just joking of course. Each to their own

James Squire Porter Ale
Baron's Black Wattle Ale

Only found the Wattle Ale last weekend - closest I've found to my favourite tipple - Bath Ales Barnstormer.

If I'm in the city, I tend to have a few Leffe Brun's at the Belgium Beer Cafe though!

Leffe Blond and Brun's; both wonderful beers. I mistakenly had a Stella between Leffe's last Friday night when I was there. Big mistake! Rough as guts.

How is Leffe supposed to be pronounced? Leff-fey? Leff? Leff-ah?

Vim Fuego is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Re: lets talk beer..

Imported Chimay for special occasions, only need the one ... 750ml at 8%.

Otherwise tends to be neat spirit (yes, he does sir, etc) ... Bundy is OK, JD is better.

James Squire Amber Ale is also good.

I do my share of Fourex Gold drinking, has to be really cold though. Ideal after running around a cricket pitch.

Drink more wine than anything else actually ... Vin Gusto (Vin Gutso in these parts) is a family fave, $5 a bottle ... we have cheap tastes ...

That is bad stuff! I had a bottle at a bbq a few months back and was on the great white telephone to Huey all night. My wife reckons it was the half litre of Bacardi before but I was okay until I had the Leffe.
