As a rule of thumb the value of your donation is 1% of your total Reputation Points plus 0,1% of your post count with both of these results round up. A poster with 25638 Reputation Points and 4286 posts will give 257 points (= 1% of 25638, rounded up) plus 5 points (= 0,1% of 4286, rounded up) which equals 262 points.
