As a Luton fan, I recall he was Britain's most expensive teenager when we sold him to Arsenal.......... we've been selling our talent ever since.

Was playing the pokies one day in Swansea Marina, John came in from a jog and stuck a few quid in the bandit next to me, his mobile rang and he had to go. He asked me if I wanted to finish the credit off, I was honored. Nice of him to ask me, considering he was a famous and I was just a random to him, seemed a nice chap through our brief encounter
