LOL. I have sold some strange stuff on Ebay. Funnily the good stuff doesn't seem to sell, only the junk. We have antique furniture, so we will send it all to auction - but of course the bottom has fallen out of the antiques market too....

They are we only put it on the market because we were concerned with the media talking about resessions etc. Now look whats happened we're homeless in a few weeks
It will be easier to plan a definate leaving date though from rented although I called someone tonight and they said we would find it hard to get a short term rent on 6 months so we'll see.

The automated email confirmation generated when you submitted your application should have an email address to mail the attachments to as an alternative to uploading them.

If you're trying to upload at the same time each day its maybe that they have the system partially down for maintenance??

I definately think that you have done the right thing selling now. Selling often takes a long time - especially if there is a chain and you will have money in the bank, so if the exchange rate gets better you can take advantage of it. We have a viewing on Monday, so just hope something comes of it.

Re the renting, don't mention it will be for the short term, you can give 1 months notice on a standard 6 month rental agreement, no probs. Don't sign a rental contract until you have exchanged contracts on the house sale though. If the buyer pulls out, you will have to pay rent too.

The Police checks and meds have a limited lifespan - when would your 457 application go in? If you did them now it may not help - the meds you can do in Oz easily anyway. The police checks you have to apply to the Uk - so it may be easier to collect the forms from your local poice station and have them ready to send when you need them. They can take up to 40 days and are valid for a year.
