From what I have learnt - an iPad is like a big iTouch so in that respect you can't upload stuff to it very easily - they have made some sort of adapter to enable photos etc to be put on but I've heard it's one reason people don't go for it - depends what your PC is used for .... accounts, word processing (how old fashioned does that sound) etc still are best done on a proper keyboard in my opinion!

To be honest im not that impressed. I am abit of an Apple fan. My laptop is a Mac and i have the iPhone & iPod. The thing thats the big show stopper for me with the iPad is the lack of what you can install. If they had it so the operating system was the standard mac one and not the iPhone / iPod touch style i wold have one.

I'll wait to see what the opposition brings out before I commit to this technology. If mobile phones are anything to go by then the non-Apple touchscreens will be better than the ipad.

Be interesting to see how long the batteries last, and what happens when the replacements go in.

They have got them on display at my local Jb hi fi now, it is nice to use and I could not put the thing down, I spent half an hour just on a 3d pin ball game but I am going to wait a little longer before I cave in, some good gadgets around the corner and once I blow $700 that will be it for ages.
If you want to see what's inside (like I always do) have a look at this. http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/iPad-...eardown/2183/1

Tempted, but given the crap internet in Australia and the crazy cost then not sure of the point. Great back in the UK with no down load limits, but here, given it would be competing with OH laptop whjich already exceeds the limit most months. Whats the point?
