I want to kill ...
... the neighbours kids!
They are normally very quiet kids and we dont see them out much at all but we have a Koel in our neighbourhood (also known as something like the "drive you insane" bird) with its very distinctive and horribly persistent call. Well, the dear little neighbourly darlings have learned how to imitate it so now we not only have the darned bird at all hours we have a trio of kids all trying to outdo themselves in mimicking it.
Edited to add, just to make it clear, I am not likely to take a pot shot at either them or the bird

Hopefully, the novelty will wear off, and the children will become preoccupied with something else that doesn't involved imitating noisy birds. Still leaves the problem of the Koel though.......Earplugs??? Or maybe a scarecrow might help?

Aaargh, great night last night, the kids eventually went to bed, the Koel must have been blown away by the gale and then at 10pm the chainsaws started up!!!!!!!! Poor bloke across the street went out to find his car skewered by a very large tree limb so the SES were working on it for a couple of hours!
No Sas, cant make today unfortunately - the folk I was waiting on a decision from, finally made it. I do hate having to rely on other peoples' decision making ability! I guess that's always the problem with long weekends and family. I hope the weather stays fine!
