We don't own any car and never have in Australia.
If / when we need a car we just book a GoGet car online which is really easy to do.
We will buy a car one day but for the moment GoGet covers every thing we need without the hassles.
It isn't for everyone I appreciate that as the majority like to step outside the house and jump straight in to a car.

In Aus we had one car per adult. In UK it's one car per 2 adults. At the moment next door on one side is one for one (they're young and working) and on the other side is one for two (retired). My adult sons have one for one in Aus and one for two in UK. Now bikes on the other hand ....

Three adults, three cars. Tiddler is being huffy about getting her Ls for some reason only she knows. The third is actually owned by First Born who no longer lives at home but she's passed it on to Tiddler who's pissed because it's an old Barina and she wants a '65 Mustang.
