Or get one of those really cool 'Sinclair certified' cassette desks. I had one, it worked like,well
uhhmmm a cassette player with no speaker.Still took 8 minutes to load 3D Monster Maze.

One of those ones that had a wire running from the remote to the TV ?
I had friends parents with those, they thought they were the coolest things. You didn't have to get out of you seat to change the TV channel,
But you did have a cable running across your floor.

The physical size of storage does not equate to the device it is deployed on, it's more a technology issue. 10 years ago 8GB would have fit in the cupboard, pretty much the smallest 8GB medium you can get right now is a MicroSD card which is 15mm × 11mm × 0.7mm

The largest size you can get currently is 8GB, but Sandisk recently announced a 16GB model arriving in Q3 2008
Pretty much the smallest USB memory you can buy right now is the 4GB Sony Micro Vault Tiny (~AUD$60). I have both the 2GB and 4GB version in my wallet right now, they are incredibly small.
