Default Holiday accommodation perth area

hi
we are coming to western australia to validate our passports in October this year , we are planning to stay for 3 weeks,
1) what area is best to stay in so that we can explore the areas that we would like to live in, we hopefully want to be around 45 mins away from perth,
dont mind north of perth or south or fremantle
2) would we be better off having a kind of 2 center holiday
3) we are looking really for a house , not hotels are there any websites people would recommend
4) we are also wanting to look at schools- any advice gratefully received
sean

Hi Sean.

This site is a good starting point. It shows you the areas within Perth and the distance from CBD. It also has private accommodation you can rent. We rented the Tuarts Retreat in Secret Harbourt for a month last September and it was fab. Good luck.

Hi Sean we have just got back from perth on sunday night, dont know if you have been before (probably have!) but if not its excellent and not boring at all as a lot threads on here will state (but each to their own)...We were on a reccie to view houses, suburbs, schools and jobs etc..i know you want a house for three weeks but can highly recomend hillarys harbour where we stayed in an apartment. Its good because it close to the freeway and is easy to travel to and from most places.. Freemantle is great if you want to stay about half/3/4hr away from cbd and seems to have a lot more things to do in the evening. If you are looking to find a house to look around there is aload of building companies that are show casing there newly built properties in brighton/butler which is in north perth (think its in city of waneroo??) basically at the end of highway 71 and they are building a new pub too!! as far a schools go we never visited any but found out a little information from friends that live there so wouldnt want to comment on them sorry but good luck and have a great time out there!!!

Try www.holidaylettings.co.uk
We booked thru them last year & stayed in a gorgeous 4x2 with pool in Kinross. Would def recommend that site. We have kept in touch with the owners too so that if we need accomodation when we arrive back in Perth for good they will reduce the cost too
