Can you just take a leave of absence for a month or so? You may feel a bit differently after you've had a chance to recuperate a bit from all you've been through these last few months.

Whatever you decide, you deserve a break.

+1

Obviously I'm just going off your posts here, but you've had a hell of a lot of stress and strain recently.. but I recall you saying how much you enjoy your job (in the past, anyway!)

Is a leave of absence a possibility for you?

Thanks guys, but I just need to dig a big hole and bury myself in it without any stresses.
I can't do the physical work due to the pain I'm in, and I can't expect the other to keep doing extra- we are all under enough stress as it is with all the new curriculum changes and inspections, and all having to be qualified by 2014. My brain is wonky and I just cant assimilate and articulate, unless I don't take the meds, but then I'm in pain again.......

Well I've written the letter- going to hand it in tomorrow, then I have to work for 2 weeks. I feel rather sad though, not to mention stressed out. I need to have the money, and I'm sorry to let my colleagues down, but the pain etc got too much.Trying to talk through my options with the area manager, but I just get her answerphone, so no joy there.

Bugger. You know what's best for you, hope you find something you can do. Having no work to go to really messes with your head and you stress a million times more about irrelevant stuff, let alone the important stuff. Hope you get back on a even keel soon.

Sorry yr feeling that way Caroline. I can vouch for stressing more with no job. But you know what's right for you so good luck. X

Employer got back to me. Nothing they can do to help. Filled in the form and will hand it in tomorrow.

Doing some deep breathing now to try to relax.

Hang on a minute.... If your current post causes increased pain to an existing condition... I would still speak to citizens advice... And go speak to your GP too

Absolutely! And a Union (do you belong?) rep. If this is a workplace induced/exacerbated condition then there may be other steps you can take.
