We were up in Brissie last weekend and went to Cha Cha Char on Eagle St Pier. We went there 10 years ago and had the most fab steak, one of those meals to remember, so we were a little hesitant about going back again after so long. No worries, the steak was just as fab. It wasn't a cheap meal when it all totted up but the eye fillet was actually only a few $s more than an average steak we had in Canberra a few weeks ago. The wine isn't cheap but the food was reasonable for a restaurant of it's standing.

This will be of absolutely no use to you but when I came over on my validation trip I was taken to a place on the river near a bridge that did awesome bugs. However as I'd only been in the country about 24 hours and no bearings at all, I can't tell you where it was. None of the people who took me there post on here anymore so that's even more unhelpful.
