I love it, I made a beetroot coleslaw the other day, it was scrumy.

My Taid used to make me a beetroot chutney.

I eat it out of the tin, in fish burgers, salads etc....

It could have been used by the Inquisition to extract confessions

Quite successfully too! Just imagine, strapped on the rack, with a mad Spaniard threatening to feed you slices of the stuff until you told him all your innermost thoughts....I know what I'd do

Or even worse......threaten you with the mixture of beetroot juice and Praise mayonnaise.....more lethal than indelible ink, and less palatable

I share your sentiments but given the poll's options, had no choice other than to vote 'nectar of the gods'. I'm very fond of beetroot in salad rolls, hamburgers and on dressed pies.
