I might have to tie my hands to the steering wheel as I don't give the finger but taking after my irish/italian granny, do tend to wave my hands around a lot.

The removalists are in the second day of packing and cart away tomorrow, then it's off on flight to Dubai next day. Excitement is buidling.........

I know Oz is not the UAE but if you use it anywhere esp Sydney does it work well, is it useful and is it better to buy a tom tom go type separate and install in a car, or to get on already in a new car? (thinking cost point of view)..

I live in Perth so there's no way I would need it. With all these big, straight roads, I'd have to be a complete F***wit to use GPS.

I won't be in Perth so thats fine...however even if I were, I would still have the ability to be chronically lost and suffer directional dyslexia so a GPS is a must for me I am afraid...

No Nokia maps are crap,

I just downloaded tomtom and loaded it on to my n95 and use it with the built in gps its just the same as having a tomtom sat nav but it is on your phone.

I'm glad it isn't just me

One thing I did think of, my dad has the tom tom xl in the UK, which you fix to your windscreen by twisting a thingy (very techical), anyway, seems to work well. We however bought the smaller tom tom (better eye sight than my dad) and it just has a sucker to put it on the windscreen. In the heatwave here in Adelaide it fell off rather regularly. Now it is cool it is fine though.

And you don't have to pay fees to go online on your phone every time you want to use that way?

Do you have to own a tomtom to do that as we only have Garmin?

No fees as you do not go online to use it. It is just the same as using a tomtom unit you are using the built in gps on the phone.

No you do not have to own a tomtom.

Heard somebody else on about that N95 the other day they seem a common phone.

What's it like to hold, the other half has a 6120 Classic and it's too slippery to hold half the time keeps getting dropped because you can't get a grip on it?

Plus what's it like for reliability a lot of the 6120 Classic were having problems with dogey hardware and screen kept dimming to black and phone had to be switched on and off a few times to get going?

I need a new phone as my last one had a slight accident and imploded... Had been thinking of a Nokia 6210 Navigator which is a similar principle I think.

The price however is not so good...such is life.

I don't spend a fortune on the actual calls so was looking to get it on as a pay as you go phone as they all cost so much here on plans.

The one I mentioned is the new Navigator don't know however if it's any better than the old one.

You can get a new Nokia N95-3 from ebay i paid $450 for mine brand new unopened box, I am only on pay as you go, Don't buy the N95-1 or the N95-2 if you want to use it on Telstra next G as they will not work.
