Isn't it a godsend..........


i'm sure it was designed with migrants in mind

And depending on where you are headed in Australia, try out nearmap. It's more up-to-date than Google earth and also shows changes over time.

except it doesn't have street addresses therefore you can only geocode to the street, not the street number. But you are right, the resolution and currency of the imagery is second to none in Australia.
