The husband gets up at 4am Works bloody hard until 6pm. He goes to bed at 8.30.
I'm a lazy cow and am rarely in bed before midnight. Find yourself some other friends.

Re: Going to bed at 8pm
I know a few Aussies who stay up till a decent hour, but most that I know are in bed by 8-9 pm, weekends as well. A few of us go out after work on Fridays but by 7 they are all off home except 3 of us who are known as a wild crowd cos we are sometimes still out at midnight

Re: Going to bed at 8pm
I've tried going to bed earlier, specially now I'm on day shifts but I just can't sleep. I have to force myself to try and sleep by midnight and I'm up at 5.30-6. Weekends are for catching up!!!

Re: Going to bed at 8pm
I'm at work by 0630 every morning, sometimes 0600... Usually put in a minimum of a 10 hour day.... The girls put a "fasting" sign on my office door beacuse I never get a lunch break, morning tea is usually a fag out the back at about two in the arvo.... You find me out of bed at gone 9 on a weeknight and its because I'm either answering a phonecall from work or having to go in to sort some drama out at work......
9 shifts and counting......
Surely the stress of findong enough agency/casual shifts to cover the mortgage payments can't be as bad as this?

Re: Going to bed at 8pm
We're up at 5 for work so in bed by 9:30. Unfortunately the dogs don't understand Saturday & Sunday, so they still want up at 5 on weekends. 10 is a late night, 11 must be a special occasion.
When did I get so old?

Never in bed before midnight, never. Usually about 1am is normal for me.
