Yes, he's home, I've discovered that much! Seems to be all OK so far....keep your fingers crossed- I'm sure one of them will post when they have five minutes :0

Last I heard, he was home and slept first night well, had a few feeds. Home nurse came round and weighed him and said he had lost a bit of weight but who knows? His cot at the hospital is still signed out to him until Monday just in case. Hopefully if he behaves himself, keeps taking from Hevs, he will lose the cot

I think the Garretts home is running as vaguely normally as it ever does

Its me!!

Sorry but its all been a bit mental and i'm buggered Well we both are.

He lost 60 grams monday, then gained 30 back before we left hospital . Then he lost 20! Yesterday he gained the 20 back, today he's the same.

So he has only gained 10 grams since last sunday
He's supposed to gain between 30 to 40 grams per day! So we are getting a bit agitated by it all at the moment!

The scales have been the same set for the last 3 days.

He is also having problems keeping his temp up! (our house is always cool)He has taken to wearing a vest, a sleep suit with feet in a fleecy trouser and matching top ensemble (cuteness!) and socks. Then he lays on top of Matt (who is always warm) with a blanket over the top of him!

I had the night from hell last night (but you lot will laugh!) Flynn had colic (bless) Niall decided (at midnight) to change the batteries in his CD player that has been sitting there for months! Then he had "something bubbling" on his fingers and decided to rub it off, on his lips!His lips were bigger than Angelina Jolies!! And he was screaming that the acid was going to kill him. I sent Matt into Nialls bed so at least one of us would be able to function this am. THEN i looked up and saw a massive white tail above the door. Ran to get spray and Niall "lost the spider" we looked for ages and i sprayed around the door frame. Niall freaked and said he couldn't sleep in case the spider ate Flynn and went to get a drink, which he promptly dropped all over the floor

I ended up with both my boys suckered to my sides like clams and very little sleep at all. Thank god its the weekend

Ahhhh the joys of mother hood But hes home and thats all that matters.

Tommorow is supposed to be discharge day, but we have to go in and see the proper neonatologist Dr who is stricter than the registrar, so watch this space

so I'm glad he's home and snuggling with you and Matt.

So pleased you have Flynn at home. Lets hope he puts on some wieght and doesnt need the cot at the hospital.

As for the lack of sleep when you look at the children you know that in the end its worth it.

Great news guys. So pleased to hear that Flynn is finally home....and fingers and toes crossed that Flynn impresses the neonatologist sufficiently tomorrow!

Hope all goes well Monday and they let him stay home.
