ive settled over here really well and just when you think things are going well something happens that shakes you up and makes you realise you realy are quite far away from all your loved ones.
I had an email from a friend of mine this morning saying that another friend of mine at work had found out that her 17 yr old daughter had been killed the night before in a car accident.
Its really knocked me for six, not being able to go and talk to my friend and just be with her.
not really sure what i am hoping to achieve with this message but i needed to get it off my chest.

Hope you managed to speak your friend & let her know you're there even if too far away to physically be there

that's really tough 
I'm so sorry sending ((((((HUGS)))))))
there is nothing worse than not being there when something awful happens
but really all you could do in the UK is phone as she will be with her family anyway
