keep going mate.i am intending to give up once we are settled in oz.at the moment everthing is to stressful and i know i will be stressed at eg kids 1st day at school .However i am banning smoking indoors as soon as we arrive and in the car so this should help us cut down before attempting to give up.i would love to stop now but when i get stressed i rush for a ciggie and they are keeping me sane.I do not drink so this is my vice.I hope you keep it up and ask for full support at home.nikki

Stick with it both of you...........................I quit in December and haven't looked back :D apart from eating anything that wasn't screwed down for the first 2 weeks :scared: :scared:

Now it doesn't bother me at all and the bonus was a perfectly clear chest x-ray at the meds :D

Just a bloody alcoholic now  :

I can't even do a full night at the minute. I don't actually wake up for a cig, but when I do wake up (usually around 3am) I have to have one or I can't go back to sleep :o

I know the feeling.

I stopped on 1st Jan with all the other lemmings. I'd had enough of smoking so it's actually been quite easy. only problem, I don't eat any more, I just gorge

I've had to join a gym again to help me keep an eye on my weight. the alcohol consumption has risen as well.

I tried once together with the wife. I begged her to start after 2 weeks otherwise I might have had to kill her

I managed to stop for three years that time :o

thank god i dont wake up...ive been giving up nearly every day for the last 4-5 weeks...cant count how many ciggies ive snapped, lighters and ashtrays ive thrown away as im off to bed..resolute that i wont smoke in the morning..only to find my self digging in the bloody bin next morning to find a binger..lol even used steri strips to put one back together just to have a few drags..lol set off for work 15 mins early so i can have two on the way there and its only a 15min journey...before i get to school..its a no smoking site for staff..but parents puffing away in playground dosnt help..ive found myself following them round just to get a wiff of nicotine...
