Shocking isn't it, the audacity of these people, why would anyone with an ideal aspect install solar & sell it back to the grid to negate their astronomical power bills

My electricity company, Origin, only made $794 million in the last half year in profit. We deserve to pay more to support that.

And how much capital did they use to make that profit? Don't forget 30% goes to the government as tax.

Origin have openly broken down the reasons for price hikes recently and stated that only 1% was due to "Green Schemes" (like the feed in tariffs).

On the other hand, network upgrades and transmission costs account for 80% of their price hikes, this is due to decades of neglect from former governments.
