Agree. We met lots of people through meetups during our time in Adelaide. Some we liked, some were just ok and others we never saw again. I've also met some really nice women here in Perth at the Hillary's lunches. It may be a little difficult to go on your own if you are used to having a partner, but for the most part people will be friendly enough.

I certainly do, and it's very valid. It will take some time to adjust. I lived in London for a year then flew to christchurch NZ. I felt like I had arrived at some desolate backwater Going from like an 8 million + city to one of 300,000 is a big head spin, same as what you are experiencing right now.

Don't know about that, I was talking about the population of the UK as a whole, which is nearly 61 million.
