I agree, if they realy must stay in NSW then Port is the only choice except Coffs harbour and thats way to far north, may as well got to QLD if you go there.
The only real problems with Port are:- Lack of high quality dining, No Westfieds or Myers. The best you will get there is Target. Oh and a perpetual level 3 water restriction. Oh and the biggest is a 4+ hour drive to the nearest big city (Sydney). It is in the process of expanding and becoming a giant set for neighbours though.

good eating places within about 10-15 drive away.......
semi-rural ..............
east coast...........
any more for any more.
you know, we hadn't even thought of south NSW?
