I think poms should smuggle then selves into aus in the back of trucks and on entry just keep repeating "centerlink" over and over and when ever you are questioned by immigration just keep repeating "me refugee, me no papers, me need house for my 6 wives and 40 children, me no speak any eeeenglissh.

Thank you. But that article says there were 651 murders in England and Wales in 2009, which gives a rate of about 1.2 per 100,000. For the rate to be 4.8 per 100,000 over the whole of the UK, you need another 2,300 murders to be committed in Scotland and Northern Ireland every year.
That would give Scotland and NI a combined murder rate of almost 33 per 100,000, almost as high as South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo, which doesn't sound very likely to me.

If you arrive here as a mature adult and after a few years proclaim yourself to be 100% aussie then imo your fooling yourself. Lived most of my adult life overseas and in the countries i have lived in never felt the need to change what i am and nor has it been expected.
