I'm drooling over that bacon. Nothing like that here. Roll on next month when I'll be back in the UK and can eat bacon for breakfast, lunch and dinner if I like.

New Irish shop at the end of my road is now getting bacon from Victoria, and its unsmoked, which is like gold dust here

it was good quality and well cooked as well, far better than the normal pussers rubbish onboard :D

don't even remember seeing bacon on my stops in Italy, then again most of the time was spent in a bar;)

as for aussie bacon and sausages I have vague recollections of them being crap as well :(

I have an on-going deal with my sister. I take her fresh Parma ham and fresh Parmesan and she stocks her fridge with good bacon. I also have to make her lots of lasagna and homemade Bolognese sauce which she stores in her freezer.
I still think I get the better deal.

You can't get bacon like that here. It's all Parma ham and salame and little diced cubes or skinny slices of pancetta - which is okay for making a pasta sauce but you can't get a decent bacon sarnie.

they do bacon sarnies but make sure you make your own as you can sneak extra bacon in ;)

Am feeling the need for something English now. Might have to make Yorkshire Puds or a Shepherd's Pie for dinner tonight with loads of gravy.
