Hi

i am going in January and was going to get mine done. I am not sure if it was you who pm me and asked me which one. I started looking but it seems to me that the ones online are just as expensive as australia?

It is cheaper for implants etc but for general stuff, it doesnt seem that cheap

Out of interest, what happens if you have a problem with the treatment afterwards? I can see that it may be cheaper but is it better? I have no knowledge of Thai dental practices except that my niece who lived in Bangkok for two years, left any dental treatment until she had holidays in the UK

I'd be too scared but hope it goes well for you.

I've heard that, just seems odd (to me) to travel to a foreign country and have any sort of surgery. I'm obviously a coward

After all the expense of our kids.... which i've gone about ad-nauseum on this board before. When it comes to my wifes treatment, and I think she may well need a few crowns or implants, then I'd say we will seriously consider Thailand.

As I know nothing about this but I'm interested, is the hygiene factor as good over there? What about the risk of aids etc? Presume all dentists are registered in Thailand and that they are strictly regulated - and presume trusted?

I can recommend these people.

http://www.silomdental.com (personal experience)
http://www.centraldentalclinic.com (My wife's experience)

The majority of dental clinics in Thailand are ultra-modern and of a higher standard than those in the UK and Australia. All equipment is sterile and they have individual packs that are sealed and opened in front of you which contain all the instruments.

Some others with good reputations :

http://www.dentalhospitalbangkok.com/ (Highly recommended)
http://www.samitivejhospital.com/
http://www.bangkokdentalcenter.com/

Just make sure to plan your holiday properly according to any recovery/treatment that you may need.

That'll do nicely, just going to grab the wife for a browse.
