I was trying to find the advert from the late 80s which said:

Always make sure the urn is warm...
Always use freshly drawn water..

My wife aerates the water by pouring from a great height and ensures the water has stopped boiling completely, then places a little lid over the cup to brew. The lid then receives the teabag so it can dry before being discarded. She's not even a Pom.
I have to agree - I havent noticed any difference either. I use Tetley Big Cuppa and they seem fine

I always drank Twinnings Breakfast Tea back in the UK. Because it is so expensive here I tried loads of different ones, which were disgusting, then I tried Bushells, which I found to be the best by far.

Tetley round bags are the best. The ones with draw-string are pants.

For those in Vic, there are great tea shops in Yarra Glen and in Warrandyte. I reckon Dilmah is the way to go, but try ALDI too...don't laugh, they have had Marmite recently (relabelled as Our Mate) at a very reasonable price.

I drink Fortnum and Mason tea! Which you can get from David Jones. Lovely.

Coffee all tastes the same to me. Just varying degrees of strength.
