They sound nice. I've crunched my way through coffee beans before - we were given a small freebie bag of them but we don't have a grinder. Yeah, bring on the palpitations!

I had to walk through a fair with a dagwood dog for my hubby who was sheltering under cover. It was bad enough I had to carry it but he'd asked for red sauce too - it was a sight to behold............just glad it wasn't me that had to eat it!!!

Beetroot is mostly bought pickled in tins, in Australia as it is anywhere else for that matter. If you order a hamburger with beetroot you will more than likely get pickled beetroot in there.
Personally I don't mind the stuff. I have been growing it this year and I agree it is not as nice just boiled up, it does need to be pickled to make it more palatable.
Anyway, what about beetroots very close relative, silverbeet. I quite like silverbeet.
