I've exceded my caffeine limit by so much i'm having palpatations..

Beetroot is mostly bought pickled in tins, in Australia as it is anywhere else for that matter. If you order a hamburger with beetroot you will more than likely get pickled beetroot in there.
Personally I don't mind the stuff. I have been growing it this year and I agree it is not as nice just boiled up, it does need to be pickled to make it more palatable.
Anyway, what about beetroots very close relative, silverbeet. I quite like silverbeet.
