In danger of flooding

I'm not being funny, just curious if your have all the plumbing in place with storm drains etc, why does the one concrete slab mess it all up?

Normally we don't need one as the surface water just soaks away naturally into the garden and path. Loads of rain last year but not a problem.
The difference this year is instead of just a "field" next door there is a bed of concrete meaning there is nowhere for the water to go so we are getting a stream coming through the fence in a few places.
As I mentioned above I don't think it will be a problem when the house is built because they will run all the surface water from the roof into the storm drain. The storm drain runs along the back of all the plots.
The rain that falls between the properties won't cause any grief as it will naturally soak away as it has in the past.

We had lashing of rain and winds last night here. The local ressie is as high as I've ever seen it
It reminded me of being in Cairns during the wet season.

Sorry to hear you're having some probs (we had a mini mud slide at our place too!) we drove passed the cable ski and the car park was flooded with cars still in it yesterday (don't think we'll be buying in canopys edge
