Hmmm, I appear to have been asleep for the last hour or so ... seems to have progressed OK ... can't see the follow on being enforced even if an option but who knows ... Not going to make much influence to the result either way ...

Re: The Cricket Thread (...and other sport)
I'd say on that pitch Aus have a slight advantage, but then again Swann is batting at 10 in this match, so Aus really need to ensure Eng don't get anymore than 350.
This pitch should be a par of +400, but with Aus' batting lineup 350 may be a good enough 1st inning total for Eng.
I have a funny feeling this series will be similar to the last UK Ashes series, where the matches are entertaining, but not setting the world alite in skill levels

nup, now we need to put the foot down, just like they did to us in 06/07. Time for revenge! 5-0, or we have lost our one opportunity to utterly humiliate them

Anyone notice how Pieterson's becoming more and more South African, and less and less English of late?

Ebbing and flowing. Whilst England should win, all they have to do is collapse tonight and for an amazing Australian response in their last innings. (Unlikely!) Test Cricket is full of surprises, and as I say to my wife, it's not often over until the last day.....
