Even as a Pom I hope the new cricketing overlords will preserve Richie B‘s legacy somehow.
For stuff that isn’t on free to air there is streaming, no big deal.
The coverage needed a kick up the arse, revolution good.

I got hooked on the coverage on Guerilla Cricket, via the Tune In app during this Ashes campaign. Very entertaining!

I thought Triple M was very good. Needs a few tweaks. Get rid of of Gus Worland and Mick Malloy. Kerry O'Keafe and Isa Guha were excellent. Throw in Phil Tufnell and you've got something very good.

Guerilla Cricket? Shite Cricket right now by England vs Pakistan.
Going to be weird not starting the summer at The Gabba this year, that’s what you get for neglecting a stadium and turning it into an inaccessible concrete sweat box I guess.
Planned improvements include a “better entrance experience” ... yeh, like that is the main issue.

Hey Rootie, Champ. I know the generally wisdom is always to bat first, but sometimes, just sometimes, you don't. This was one of those times
How embarrassing

Might be better in person, I’ve had 13 years of The Gabba and jaded by anything that looks vaguely modern.
But ‘tis way of things so ...

I kind of agree with that. As a cricket traditionalist, I like the old school 'proper' cricket grounds - Newlands, Lords, Kensington Oval etc - for watching test cricket. Not too big, not too small, a grass embankment, close to the action. I would imagine watching a test from the back of Perth stadium will not be much fun. The WACA is a bit of a shithole, but from the members area you get a great view of the action

The Gabba these days is fun policed to the nth degree and a pain in the butt to get to and away from.
I can see why we have lost out, and it’s not the lack of a “Grand Entrance”.
