Re: Courtesy for Prince William

Its very fashionable to put down the royals..me I'm just ambivalent to the the whole thing...actually NOT that ambivalent because I would hate to see Mz Gillard for example, as our head of state.

How about we get given an honary royal....Like HM princess of Aus? But that said if they give us Camilla I shall be right bloody mad! We need Harry to hook up with an Aussie, job done

But as for the origional question, I believe just common courtesy/(NOT A courtsey!) polietness would be a given really? I was brought up propper, me :D

I've never got the Harry paternity thing, he's just like his dad and a double for Prince Phillip when he was the same sort of age and nothing like the dude who didn't even know Diana when Harry was born.

I believe the heraldic term is Harry "Fitzroy".

The proponents of 'he must be his dad' like to use those profile photos. Just a shame Harry doesn't look anything like James Hewitt face on :D

I don't and I must be really sad but I hate that a pile of people who don't know think it's ok to question someone's parentage when that person has no comeback. It's like he, his mother (well she's gone so who cares about that) and his father (Charles) are fair game and have no feelings. I really bloody hate that.:frown:

My wife's best friend works with the army as a physio, and has treated him and his brother, and she says that neither of them expect or respect all the royal bullshit.

Those boys ain't bad. I don't buy all this Harry favouritism. They're both good reasonable blokes and this is not just because their Mum was sort of 'cool'.

As for introductions, for me, it would depend on the capacity in which I was being presented, especially to the Queen.

If I was a senior ranking diplomat or ranked high in my own country I would bow from the neck. This paying of compliments would reflect respect and also gain the result of getting respect *back*.

As Mr Badge, I would just nod and greet.

It would not surprise me if the people who are massively anti-Royal would actually be agape with the whole thing. I would not put it above them to film it on their camera phone before scurrying out to the local corner shop and buying the latest celebrity wank mag....

My Grandfather got presented to the Queen - I've never been clear in which capacity. He was obviously no good - as we got him back, too!

I would like to know what William and Harry really think of the 'Diana Conspiracies'. I mean, they must have questioned it all at some point within growing up.

They are modern boys, so must be of a different mindset to previous generations of all the royal pish.

Have they been told to 'shut their gobs' over the years I wonder? Or are they completely brainwashed?

- Will history repeat itself? Who knows, but I for one wouldn't have encouraged my daughter to marry a Windsor.
