Today I handed in my resignation...came out of the admin area, sat at my desk and started to blub.

It is official...I have lost the plot.!
Can't wait until my last day, I will be a right mess. Did anyone else get very emotional?

Isn't it amazing that although you can't wait for the day to hand your notice in, when you do it feels really strange. How much notice did you have to give, I had to give two months as I was a teacher. I think its the though of missing out on the office gossip or going for a coffee with your friends. If it's any consolation I finished work two months ago, and considering I loved my job and was a bit of a workaholic I haven't missed it once. I email my friends and even pop in for the odd coffee. Even in this short space of time things have moved on without me and it is definitely no longer a part of my life. Time to look forward to sun, sea and sand. When are you flying out and where in Perth are you going. My OH is also a Electrical engineer too.

Hi, No I don't think I will go back into teaching. I have had two months of in which I have had a life.
I think I might do some secretarial temp work whilst I get my two boys settled into school. To be honest we aren't even sure where we are going to settle in Perth until OH has a job. What about you?
Thanks for the offer of a lift Aston man
, but we have life saving friends picking us up from the Airport.
5 weeks to go

No, we have no idea either...we'll be travellers for a while I guess! Sounds like you have really enjoyed the last two months.
Will be looking at doing anything initaially, but will be looking more into data entry and general office stuff.

SSTC? Sorry not very good with the shorthand. I worked at a sixth form / FE college. Great fun but really hard work. Loved the students and colleagues hated the repetitve paper work and jobsworths... if you know what I mean.

Hi Sparky Wife
Well just about got over the hangover from emptying the drinks cupboards, it's amazing how many of us suffered from "food poisoning" considering no-one actually ate anything.
Has you OH applied for his ARTC yet? If so how is it going? If we didn't know better I would think they are trying to put Electricians off.

LOL, well it sounds like a very unique form of food posioning
very specialist, but it can happen... sounds like you had a great time! OH applied for ARTC back in January and he had it granted a couple of weeks ago, which was a huge weight off our minds. I think he bored them to death with all the info/proof he gave them.
What about your OH?
