.......................Or a guy who gave thousands of hours of his time to hospitals/hospices/old peoples homes, and raised several million pounds for different charities.

Ummmm, Michael jackson did a lot for charity too. Hell, he'd babysit your kids in a heartbeat (If you'd let him)

Lets not speak ill of the dead!!!!
He was a human being after all, a dad, a husband etc!
FFS he may have been controversial but there are too many do gooders out there afraid to speak their minds in case what they say may be miscontrued!
Everyone has been racist, ageist, sexist, classist at some point in their lives!
Get a ******g grip people!
Saying such horrible things about another is evil...even more so when they are no longer here to comment.
Just take a look at rising damp or porridge or any other comedy/comedian of his era!!
Oh and how racist, homophobic and sickening is little britain????
yet people think its ok as there is a gay man taking the pee out of gay men???

Re: Comedy star Bernard Manning dies
Why not? When someone snuffs it you're suddenly supposed to forget that they made a living telling 'paki' and 'coon' jokes.
Me too. Funnily enough I get buy without being a racist though.
Okay - explain to me how I you can misconstrue the sentiment behind these great words from Saint Manning:
“They actually think they’re English because they are born here. That means if a dog’s born in a stable, it is horse.”
or this touching and humerous 'gag':
“How are you, baby? Having a night out with nice people? Isn’t this better than swinging from the trees? – You’re black, I’m white. Do you think colour makes a difference? You bet your bollocks it does!”
Over to Bernard again:
“They used to be happy people in the cotton fields, singing their bollocks off day and night. A fella used to go around with a whip… ‘Oh, massa, give us another crack of dat whip. I love dat whip’…”
No shit.

Re: Comedy star Bernard Manning dies
I think it's a bit unfair to call someone a tw*t because they didn't find Bernard Manning funny. Why should people be upset that he's dead if they didn't like him or what he stood for?
