Catastrophic bushfire warning for South Australia
"SOUTH Australia is bracing for catastrophic bushfire conditions ahead of more extreme heat tomorrow.
Temperatures throughout the state are predicted to reach the low 40s in some areas, with Adelaide forecast to have a top of 39C. Similar conditions will follow on Thursday, with Adelaide's maximum expected to reach 41C.
The forecast prompted authorities to issue a bushfire warning of "catastrophic" conditions in the Flinders and north-western pastoral districts - the first time the term has been used."

Just hitting 40 c out here in SA desert! Wouldn't be so bad if not so windy! Thunderstorm WITH NO LIGHTNING would be very welcome!
CFS Pagers are all quiet though so lets hope it stays that way!

We are in SA and at the moment is very warm and windy, hope everyone in SA stays safe, but its gonna drop to 23 on saturday then we will be cold!!!

SEVERE bushfire warnings have been issued for parts of the Victoria today ahead of expected scorching temperatures.
South Australia and NSW are also expecting the heat to rise to blistering levels.
The first total fire bans of the season have been declared in northwestern, northeastern and central Victoria.
Residents should have their bushfire plans in place and be ready to take action.

= Work Christmas Show - location my front lawn = 100 or so people freezing cold! Fire ban today, need fire buckets Saturday! Aussie weather is so variable it's hard to keep up!

Good thanks MM - not digging at moment so preparing new pivots, planting etc instead. Fairly busy but going well! Water cuts soon but we'll be ok I think - good forward planning pays off!
