Re: Canoes/kayaks
Hi,
We got a good deal - went with another expat couple so had some bargaining power - we got 2 kayaks, 4 life jackets and 4 carbon fibre oars for $3000.
We are going with another expat couple on Saturday to get them the same bargain. You have to knock the price down - they always bargain :-)

We got ours from Anaconda and it was $500, which included the life jacket and oar.

We got the 2 Necky Looksha's, 2 paddles, PFDs, trolleys, Thule roof supports for - well it was a good price...let's stick with that. We put them on top of a Pathfinder and 2 of us manage it no problem, although it does help that I can stand on the bull bar to move them around once they are on which as they are over 15 feet long is a good help, believe me! For anyone around Brissie, I would recommend a trip to see Jason and if you wanted to you you could hire from there and give them a go before you buy - he also does some ex-hire ones if you wanted something bigger/better but didn't want to buy a new one.
