bugger! was hoping to have him and then get hubby to get me a little doggie to replace him

will now have to think of another way of getting hubby to let me have a doggie long term x:wub:

could always tell him i want another baby! i will see if that works !!!

looking forward to pp xxx

have a fab week

Well I happen to know the rescue people I am getting him from are looking for foster carers for dogs. Everything is paid for - vets/toys/bedding/blankets.

It is a roundabout way of getting a dog. I shall let you know all the details when I see you.;):)

I know he is good with kids, they haven't said about cats.

He is 6 months old, here is his picture.

They want me to have him now as they are having trouble finding space with foster carers.

Here is his picture:

I know he is only a dog, but for some reason I am quite taken with this little chap - I never thought I would have another dog after Rema died, let alone one like this.

We move into our house on 19th October, I am sure I could squeeze him into my house on the Friday before after work and he could move with us.

Thank you all so much for taking the trouble to reply.

He is soooo cute, if I was there I would have him like a shot!, good luck (and thanks for the words of encouragement! ;))

The rescue kennels will be providing everything for him until I officially take him on 19th October.

Thank you Sel for this - means the world to me and to everyone else who has offered their help and to Hitchcock as well - looking forward to next week:thumbup:

Sel, I do believe he is getting his nuts chopped off at some point next week and the rescue lady will be getting in touch.

I owe you one big time:wub:

No worries mate :D

I told OH last night (he was out when we spoke) that we were getting another dog and he nearly choked on his coffee until I mentioned the "for a few weeks part" HA HA

But really its no problem and we are looking forward to having him here until you are ready.

OMG how cute!

They most certainly have a thing going on in the ear department.

Gordon is asleep in the spare bedroom, the sun is shining on the bed and he is curled up in this tiny sun patch, his ginger body is roasting hot but he seems happy enough:p

Mr PP told me last night 'trust you to find a dog right now when we are moving and on a budget where every penny counts'

But he admitted to me that he is looking forward to the new arrival.

I wonder if Gordon will be less naughty once he has a kelpie for company?

The rescue people asked if I wanted to foster another animal, they pay the vets fees/food etc.

Probably wouldnt mind fostering a cat but not sure really.

My trouble would be parting with them, I know me and the kids would get to attached ... its different with Rocky as he is your dog from the start but for all those others it would break my heart, I would want to keep them all.

I reckon you would probably be the same .. too soft ;)

Im watching 'My Fair Lady' on TV, I love that film and sing along happily to the songs, except I've lost most of my bloody voice so will have to mime.

All I need now is some chocolate.

How would poor Gordon cope with another Cat. Think of the Tank PP. His welfare is just as important! (BTW, how's the diet going?)

The Tank's diet is not too bad, he isn't eating much at the moment and Im a bit concerned, Mr PP reckons its because it is getting warmer but I shall keep an eye on him.

He is still tank-like though.
