Can anyone help me?

I have been accepted to have a rescue dog and have already picked him out and he was due to arrive on 19th October.

I have spoken to the kennels today to get updates on him and they have asked if I could have him sooner as they are having trouble finding a foster home for him (he is a kelpie).

But as much as I would like to I can't, no doubt I could have him in my townhouse at night but the courtyard is far too small for a little dog to be in all day and the kids outside would antagonise him no doubt:mad: They are naughty little buggers with their skateboards.

I am so upset and wish I could help, my friend at work has already bought him a brand new kennel for the new house and it is all in place.

Does anyone know of anyone in the Perth/Freo area that fosters animals for rescue kennels? I would buy his food of course and have him at the weekends.

I think the kennels initially didnt anticipate an influx of dumped animals and thought that the foster carers would have room for him.

He is 6 months old.

Keeping this at the top for you, so hopefully you have a taker!

If I could help I would as I love dogs, but my 2 pups would take offence at having an intruder!!
Good luck!

As per previous posts.... specifically how is he with other dogs? When do they want you take him? Wehn will you want him back?

As per others I may be able to help (not here in Bunbury but very close to you with a trusted dog lover!)

I know he is good with kids, they haven't said about cats.

He is 6 months old, here is his picture.

They want me to have him now as they are having trouble finding space with foster carers.

Here is his picture:

I know he is only a dog, but for some reason I am quite taken with this little chap - I never thought I would have another dog after Rema died, let alone one like this.

We move into our house on 19th October, I am sure I could squeeze him into my house on the Friday before after work and he could move with us.

Thank you all so much for taking the trouble to reply.

I would be happy to have him for the few weeks until you are ready ... I do have separate accommodation if he has a problem with other dogs so wouldnt be a big deal for him or my dogs.

Just to update everyone, as you can see, Sel has very kindly offered to have Rocky dog for me.

The rescue kennels will be providing everything for him until I officially take him on 19th October.

Thank you Sel for this - means the world to me and to everyone else who has offered their help and to Hitchcock as well - looking forward to next week:thumbup:

Sel, I do believe he is getting his nuts chopped off at some point next week and the rescue lady will be getting in touch.

I owe you one big time:wub:
