The Brits 2008 - embarrassing??
#1
Just watched the Brits. It was cringeworthy!!
Ozzy disappeared after a short while, leaving the job to the wife and kids.
Sharon held it together for a while, then totally reverted to form around the 3rd dress change, hogging the mike and making an idiot out of herself.
I thought Vic Reeves was going to chin her when she took the mike off him to announce one of the winners herself!
Amy Winehouse sang well but should be restricted to radio only. She dances to a different song to the one she is singing
The bloke from the foo fighters summed it up perfectly in his acceptance speech (from America)! I would really like to be there but I can't because I have just sold out Madison Square!!
Then there was Kylie, sang well but clinging on a bit with the skin tight dress I think.
And last, and least, Paul McCartney murdering his own songs with his now ropey voice. Rory Bremner had it about right when he said the Beatles were dying in the wrong order!!
Rant over, anyone else want to join in??

I didn't watch it because the Osbournes were presenting, I figure it's best not to watch if you don't like the main presenter/s. I've seen some clips of a few acts and they looked pretty good.
Anything positive you'd like to add maybe?

Surely cant have been as bad as that one with Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood
Why get halfwits like the Osbournes to host stuff? If it's meant to be a serious awards ceremony then surely they can find someone better than that?

Totally agree, thought Sharon was doing well until she lost it....although think Vic Reeves was well gone too. I did enjoy Macca though, but, only cause he is a fellow scouser!! whereabouts in Wirral are you from? used to live there Mum still lives in Moreton. Shari

WE ARE NOT SCOUSERS!!!
There is a bloody big river between us and Liverpool. That said, I work there and most of the people I work with are great, but I can't stand the "professional scouser" act that the likes of the surviving beatles and Cilla Black put on.

Obviously not seen it. Just wanted to say the Rory Bremner quote is classic and soooooo true. MacCartney's use by date passed about 20+ years ago. Had I been in the UK and known that he and Kylie would be performing, I'd have gone out for the evening. Can't stand either of them
Any Winehouse cracks me up when she's dancing,
I thought the Sam Fox/Mick Fleetwood event was one of the funniest bits of TV ever

The Brits are always a bit of a car crash - that's part of the appeal.
If anything I thought last nights was a bit tame - bring back Jarvis Cocker mooneing at Wacko Jacko
I thought there were a lot of pretentious arses collecting awards last night

How Sharon and panda (I mean Kelly sorry) get so much work is beyond me. And same for the as funny as cancer Reeves bloke. Seems the production companies have a stock of "presenters" that they think the public like.

I actually thought that Kelly was the most professional last night, not hard when she was presenting with her drunken mother!
