Sorry I must stop being so enthusiastic.
Melbourne's weather is cold, grey, damp and miserable. Much better everyone goes somewhere sunnier like Perth.
Buzzy
ps. see you at the Curry Night Busterboy? Been wanting to meet with you for a while as I like the stuff you post.

It was a brilliant summers day here today
I had my own two kids plus two friends and as the weather wasn't great I took them all to the indoor play place.
The car park is a 3 minute walk away.
We got out of the car and a years worth of rain descended on our heads. My umbrella was no use as it was being blown inside out by the wind. We got into the play place looking like refugees
It then cost me £23 to pay them in and buy them all a fruit shoot and me a hot chocolate

Ahhhh the UK with kids, don't you just love it?
Now as a parent, you can really sympathise with your parents and the years of school holiday where they had to put up with the constant bleat of 'I'm bored' as you looked out the window on to another rainy Summer's day.
PS Just noticed your signature...I laughed! Very similar senses of humour me thinks.

I must admit, I moan about being cold but when you have a winter's day like today, blue skies and a top of 23 degrees, give me this over a British summer any day.

I must admit even through the bouts of homesickness, I never miss the damp, darkness of a UK summer!

I can't understand the problem we get loads of summer in england. Had four glorious days of it when I was at the download festival (before wimbledon and glasto when the rain seems to come to stay)
