aussies should buy cheaper stuff and things they can afford and stop borrowing too much money.

Why? Don't get me wrong, I dislike Ikea as much as I do all shops but what shop would you expect to see at the top of the Homewares section when you consider the cost and choice available? If you're looking for furniture and you're on an average wage, Ikea seems eminently suitable compared to M&S and John Lewis.

Ikea is great for uni students. February is crazy at Ikea with all the country kids and their anxious parents setting them up in student digs.

I do remember final year secondary students arranging hide and seek sessions at Ikea Richmond. A very nerdy schoolies week

I can believe it. IKEA Croydon on a Saturday afternoon - a living, breathing nightmare. I went there twice when I bought my first place - never, ever again. Thing is, you can go there on a Monday evening (closes at 10pm) and it is empty.

That's proabaly because you're too busy quaffing cider
I find that out of all the shops in the UK, Ikea is the least bearable. We used to go once every two years or so, only to come away vowing never to return ...Until we forgot how bad it was, that is. I honestly can't understand what people see in the place
