Speaking of thebox, I found it a bit strange to get a pm from a new member yesterday, who had only just done the 3 posts needed to access the pm system, asking if I could send them an invite. Especially as I'd just seen that thebox was shutting down. Coincidence?

Gave up with them earlier this year due to lack of seedings and slow ratio building. Gone to UnoTelly and a WD TV Live box so I can get BBC iPlayer and Netflix. Still not legal, but if the BBC would open up the iPlayer under a subscription, I would pay just as I do for Netflix.
Anything else is via EzTv.

Probably not in 2013. A few years ago before iplayer, 4OD, Netflix etc it was essential but now you can get streming video over the internet and there are plenty of other torrent sites

The Box had complete series of most UK TV series dating back to the 70's. The most comprehensive torrent site out there.
Twas like a condensed Almanac of British TV over 5 decades.
Probably a tragic loss from a historical point of view actually.
I built up over 3 years to a ratio of 3 plus... and had 17 invites at one stage.

Just watch your seeding times with TVChaos - you MUST seed back for a mimimum of 48 hours or you'll get a warning. The warnings are system generated and quite evil
