Hi probably a daft question but we seem to have acquired a bobtail lizard that has taken up residence in our garden, we have a very daft Golden Retriever who so far hasnt noticed it but should we be cautious - didnt think they were poisonous but thought we better check?! Thanks

One of our Labradors has killed a few and brings them to us as some kind of offering. I'm upset about this as they are magnificent creatures and as with most native wildlife, are under pressure from humans and our building into their habitat. Saying that, there's a large Bobtail hanging around our property at the moment. Our Lab has seen it but seems to be wary of it as it's so big. Hopefully it stays this way

There are no venomous lizards in Australia. The danger is that the dog will hurt the lizard.

When we lived on acreage, we used to rescue Blue Tongues all the time when our dogs got hold of them. One of them unfortunately didn't make it though and our male dog kept it and used to dig it up and bring it out to show everyone whenever we had visitors - twas lovely.

Thanks everyone! That's a relief, Our dog is very submissive and scared of his own shadow so think he would run away from the lizard, just wanted to check it wouldn't cause any harm, thank you
