We were on our way to Aus in Oct 2007 whilst along with loads of other BE peeps we had to endure the good old house sale falling through AGAIN
Anyway I wont drone on about that crap time ....the house is going back up for sale and I pray its sells this time and all going well we get to Oz before our deadine of 2012 when our visas run out.
The dilemma we now have is that rather than choosing where to go (we were all set for TAS), we are going to have to be led by where the building industry is still ok ....given the recent downturn.
OH is doing a tiling course as well , just to widen possibilities of finding work.
It seems Adelaide (which to be honest was never really on our minds ) has alot of job adverts for bricklayers....as of a few online job sites that I have looked at lately...............just wanted to check with 'real' people and similar trades people on BE how the situation really is.
We would consider anywhere except WA and NT
I would be grateful if you could just give me an idea of your own situation so i can research different areas.
I know its all a bit general ....but i'm doing loads of reseach myself ...i just thought i'd pop this on to see if anything useful pops up.....sarcastic comments are expected
.............cheers
Thanks
Zoe xxxx

Hi
Dare I say it .. the market seems to be picking up a little bit. We did put the house up back last year and had alot of interest , but we didn't really know what we wanted to do / where we wanted to live !! so we took it off and did some more work to it ...and we should get it back up for sale in April at the latest ...I hope
Thanks for saying Hi....I thought no-one would remember me

Hope you are doing well & still happy

Although we are in WA we found that the papers did advertise for a lot of tradie positions however, when you phoned they were almost always gone - even if you phoned as soon as the ink was dry and the paper was published.
Don't rely on what the papers advertise (although someone in Adelaide may tell you different) and wait until you land and get on site and ask around.
I might be completely wrong and someone else will tell you different but that's how we found things.
All the very best with the house sale.
