3 years in Perth but back in the UK for now, will return to Oz later in the year but not Perth (to quiet)
Where should I try?
I am a Chef in twenties.
Do not like the sun and heat that much
Hate the beach and water sports.
Do not like playing any sports
Like nightclubs and good pubs.
Want a City where the shops do not close at 5
Would like a City where it is not dark at 6 in the summer
Anyone

The answer fairly obviously comes down to Melbourne or Sydney.
And I suspect Melbourne wins this one easily - although there will still be sun & heat - beachlife is optional, but there if you change your mind.

Melbourne or Sydney. They only real choices for a young single person, or professional couple.
Also, you have to remember that most things in Australia are mainly geared for people with kids.

You only have to look at what is on in the papers in Melbourne at the weekend to see that there is something for everyone. My lovely daughter is 29 single and loves Melbourne. She also likes Tasmania, there are a lot of artists and those sort of people who live there.
My friend works in the film industry for sound mixer and knows lots of people in the industry and they have studios in Sydney but they live in Melbourne,
There is Jazz on at Cruden Farm today (Dame Elizabeth Murdochs home in Langwarrin which is right next to Frankston) people will take their picnics and have a lovely time if that is there interest. Only one of many things on around the place today.
