What makes it different here is that it's accepted as normal, up to the rest of the world (Aussie Aussie Aussie) and, so long as the surf's up - who cares?
It's a big country and a small population......

Another example, when we moved in the site manager says the cast irom inspection cover that goes in the driveway is coming as the guy wont drop it untill you're there as they cost $200 and he doesn't want it knocked off, so when it arrives I'm busy.
Later on I look at it and it's all rusty, the next time the site manager comes round I tell him and he shrugs his shoulders and says "well they all rust eventually" so i say to him I've paid $200 for a new one so I expect it in new condition, he shrugs his shoulders and looks confused by this and phones up the supplier who says the same, but I insist he gets me a new one he looks at me like I'm whinging but does it.

Do a search for posts on this topic from a poster called Nibbs (one of my co-workers) - horrific, he's been here 2 years and I don't think they've even started yet, but want more money.

There are obviously crap builders everywhere as there are electricians, lawyers, plumbers. Unfortunately for whatever reason your build didn't go well but people who have had houses built by the same builder have had a very good experience and a good quality house built.

I think if you do a search on here you'll find more negative than positive experiences.
Of course there are people that are happy as there are good builders, but most people we've spoke to all aussies have had bad experiences.
Renth said that he saw facts supporting this, or are you calling him a liar/

Don't be silly. You seem to have an issue with anyone who disagrees with you, It's life mate, deal with it. I was giving my opinion based on what I have seen and been told by friends whose experience is different to yours.

I picked all these things up as the build comntinued which is why I've spent months arguing with them.
I was living in an established area not any new builds, the contracts were already signed by the time I'd moved here.
I don't understand your point about the way i've expressed stuff.
