Either way, I have no plans at the moment - we were looking at doing a boat trip somewhere but not sure.
I think we are definately just keeping low key and local... trip to Coolum to see the fair in the day.. then onto the beach for some family time in the ocean then home for a bbq and some beers....

We have the Audi Victoria Week here so no doubt we will go and have a look at the yachts and the entertainment/fireworks that's put on.

Go to the beach and have a BBQ too - not forgetting a drink or several!

I was going to attend the local citizenship thingy at our local park but it kicks off at 7.15 am! WTF??? So instead will be going to the local park (another one) at 11 with some mates to let our kids run around and cook some snags on the fee barbie! Love that! The free barbie, obviously not the snags Might grab a few lamb chops, just like Sam says too!

Can't help comparing it to St Patricks day though...and find it wanting. But at the same time im 30 wks pregnant and a mother to a toddler so my days of stumbling out of dark pubs at 3pm with Guinness stains down my Rubgy jersey are over Pah....

Australia day is way more family orientated than Paddies day, which is a good, healthy way to have it I guess.

So it's over before the hottest part of the day and so the new citizens have the rest of the day to celebrate.

Just texted our Viv... think we are now going to work most of the day until the late afternoon and make the most of the fact that people won't be phoning us! haha! Reckon we will get through 80% of our work on Tuesday....

I will have a beer, bbq and beach when I get back at about 4pm instead

On Friday - she has been a hero and rescued 30 odd monkeys in Thailand.. they were drowning and stuck in a water tub and unable to get out... she threw in a log and the little monkeys all clung to it and she dragged them out.. and then got them all out..

I would post pictures but they aren't mine to post....

I am going to make burgers with tinned pineapple slices and tinned beetroot on top, as featured in the woolworth weekly catalogue.

Actually plan to spend the day inside with the AC on full blast kids last day off before school returns and they are sitting in sweatbox classrooms again.

I've decided to come into work so I can get a shitload of stuff done without anyone knowing I'm here. I'll take another day in lieu and have an actual long weekend.
