Its really only about 40 mins from Yanchep ... just seems like longer, unless Im speeding

Perth is without doubt the best place to be for Oz day in the country, it's the event of the year for the city and the effort they go to for the cbd fireworks is almost as good as Sydney NYE, with half the population turning up to watch it's a great day for everyone. Only thing is can be a bit too many people. I've done Syd and Brisbane for Oz day, they don't come close to Perth. For once it actually DOES have something great going on.

Thers loads of great things going on in Perth....we recently had another batch of rellies over, and we didnt manage to do half of what is available!

Why are people always knocking Perth???

I totally agree with you................. when I posted this thread yesterday I knew that there would be some smart comments posted........ thankfully there hasn't been too much.

Def seems to be a bit going on for Australia day and I think we will make a day off it and head to the water......... We are NOR so now we have to figure out where the heck to park and spend the day......... We are going to go and see Moore river a day this week as it looked beautiful

Hey Nadine,

I was just thinking the same about australia day when I looked on the forum and you had beaten me to asking it!! We were just saying the same thing about Moore River it looks lovely, think we might go have a look on Sunday, do you fancy meeting and us all going there, thanks to SJ Oldfield for letting us know about it. And Im with you, I reckon Perths got a lot going on too, I reckon the others are just jealous..

Park at the caravan Park...there's a chippy shop, a deli, toilets, showers and barbie areas!!!

Myself, wife and daughter have our citizenship ceremony on Australia Day.

To celebrate the occasion I've bought an old commodore to put up on bricks in the front garden and a specially soiled and battered old couch has also been purchased to go outside so it can proudly be sat on with stubbie in hand.
