I did go to the Blue mountains once but it was not particularly memorable....a bit like a poor imitation of the Peak district.

My husband is Canadian, however we both now have Australian citizenship, so I guess I am the wife of an Aussie man. I don't remember his personality being replaced by a dullard's at the citizenship ceremony, though.
