To become a refugee, a claimant must prove they are in danger of torture, there is a risk to their life or meet other criteria showing they will face persecution in their home country. Yet this did not stop over 70% of successful Tamil refugee claimants surveyed from returning to Sri Lanka for vacations, business or to sponsor family members.
"I think it's been fairly common knowledge, that after asylum seekers get status they go back," said James Bissett a former head of Immigration Canada. "Certainly after they get landed immigrant status they go back."
This figures effectively mean that about 70% of refugees allowed into Canada were not genuine. I winder how that compares to Australia.

Are you trying to suppress my contribution by saying that?

I'm an Aussie on this Forum.
I speak to quite a few Pommie settlers who have come to Australia to make it their home, and I welcome them.
During the course of our conversations the overwhelming majority say that one of the factors that helped them to decide to leave the UK was that the white anglo-saxon is becoming a disadvantaged minority in his own country and another is the inevitable Islamisation of their country.
Yet here on this Forum, most people go out of their way to be politically correct. Could it be that some of you are so conditioned to being afraid to speak out that you are still worried, even on an anonymous Forum?
Just an observation.

Absolutely, and its pathetic to witness.

One of the comments made to me is that, if a negative comment is made in the UK, there are a chorus of people ready to sprout accusations of rascism.
Calling me a troll is one step away from calling me a rascist.
It never ceases to amaze me that if a comment is made about a particular group of people, anyone who disagrees trots out the rascist tags.
Just as an interesting aside, there was a US news item on TV the other day about kids playing computer games. There were African/American kids, and other ethnic groups tagged by the *****/American label. And there were white kids.
White kids are still allowed to be referred to by the colour of their skin but not, apparently, other groups whose skin was not white.

Certainly makes interesting reading...

l prefer to remain a man of mystery, but West whoopwhoopalong was probably the closest guess to the truth made.
