I love ASOS. I use the English site not the Aus one though, it works out cheaper and it's free postage

I may order something, though I can't let my GF catch me buying more shoes - she already thinks I'm batting for the other team...

When you have more manbags than she has handbags, then it's time to wonder...or is that just my life? Last weekend we were shopping for a new laptop bag for a laptop he doesn't yet own. Even the iPad has its own Tumi.

Oh dear - I'm not that bad, but I do actually really enjoy shoe shopping - managed to buy 7 pairs while back in the UK in July - had real problems with the packing, which annoyed her a bit I think...

on the subject of shoes, do you think I need a new pair of work shoes? I bought them about 5 years ago I think, and they now have massive splits under the soles. the wife was on at me about it this morning. I told her I just wanted to get maximum value for money out of them.

I think you'll find they're long shorts, not short longs . . .

That photo's reminds me of the special needs ramblers group I used to belong to.

There's always room for new shoes - imagine the fun you will have getting maximum value for money out of a new pair!

Seven pairs? Why? I think I only own about four pairs and two of those are thongs.

I do similar, but usually on my stopover in Singapore. This year was great as I offloaded a ton of luggage on The Geek, he came straight home and I went shopping for 3 days

Depends - are they good shoes? Otherwise OK? If they're Church's, Loake or the like, they've got a good few years in them yet with a new sole. Just go to a proper cobbler and not Mister Minit.

I'm not sure, they're from Next I think.
I never polish them, my wife sometimes does out of frustration

Likewise. I'm still wearing a pair of brogues I've had for at least ten years . . . new sole once a year . . . they're beginning to wear out but from the inside.
